The Family Room
A double alongside a full bunk, so a family lands in one room and stays there. Warm sconce lighting, teak door, kettle and fresh linen on the console.
Ketti Valley · The Nilgiris
A house on the ridge where the tea ends and the valley begins — lit late, quiet early, and warmer than the altitude suggests.
01 — Mornings
It comes up over the far ridge and lands on the tea first, then the stone path, then the front of the house. If you are awake for it, the balcony is the place to be — and you will not be sharing it with many people.
02 — Stays
This is a house for families and groups. The rooms are laid out to sleep several without anyone drawing the short straw — a double and bunks in the same warm room, rather than a corridor of singles.
A double alongside a full bunk, so a family lands in one room and stays there. Warm sconce lighting, teak door, kettle and fresh linen on the console.
A smaller, quieter room built around raw concrete and minimalist furnishing — fewer soft edges than the rest of the house, and a calmer register because of it.
In every room
03 — Evenings
It is high enough that the cold turns honest after sundown. So there is a fire in the garden, chairs pulled around it, and the house glowing behind you. People tend to stay out longer than they planned.
04 — The Days
Log benches, a walled fire pit and daisies growing right up to the fence line.
Communal tables under the lights — where meals, cards and late talking happen.
05 — Bathrooms
Every room is ensuite. Cove lighting rather than glare, arched niches with something green in them, and a geyser that copes with a hill morning.

08 — Finding Us
The approach curves past the boulder and opens onto level parking beside the house. Lit the whole way, which matters — most guests arrive after dark.
